ASHI Basic Life Support (BLS) students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. ASHI's Basic Life Support, BLS for Healthcare Providers and Professional Rescuers has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). Designated Employer Representative (DER) this course is designed to provide company DERs with the knowledge required to perform their duties effectively, as outlined by Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for drug and alcohol testing (49 CFR Part 40). ASHI Bloodborne Pathogensthis program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. DOT Reasonable Suspicion Training the purpose of this training is to enable supervisors to determine whether reasonable suspicion exists to require a driver to undergo testing described in §382.307. Traffic Incident Management (TIM) this course consists of a planned and coordinated multi-disciplinary process to detect, respond to, and clear traffic incidents so that traffic flow may be restored as safely and quickly as possible. Effective TIM reduces the duration and impacts of traffic incidents and improves the safety of motorists, crash victims, and emergency responders. TIM Responder Training brings police, firefighters, DOT, towing, medical personnel, and other incident responders together to engage in interactive incident resolution exercises. National Safety Council (NSC) Defensive Driving Course (DDC-6)Participants will acquire the knowledge and techniques to recognize potential hazards and avoid collisions and violations and why choosing safe, responsible and lawful driving behaviors and habits make personal and financial sense. They will understand that the right attitude can prevent collisions and poor-decision making as well as how to drive defensively in unpredictable conditions. (Course Code: TSSSDDC6)
This Defensive Driving course is approved by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission for participants to receive a two (2) point reduction or receive up to a 10% insurance reduction on their car insurance for three (3) years upon completion of the course.
