Need A SAP

DOT safety sensitive employees who violate the DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Rules by testing positive or refusing to test for drugs and/or alcohol are mandated to be evaluated by a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).

Step 1- Initial evaluation
Step 2- Treatment and/or education
Step 3- Follow-up evaluation

Employers must provide to each employee (including an applicant and/or new employee) who has a positive test or refuses to test (DOT violation) a list of SAPs readily available to employee.
